In-Sight™ System Maintenance

Increase production and reduce scrap—Take the mystery out of the little yellow box!

All too often, when there is a problem with a Vision System, nobody is around with the knowledge to correct the problem, even for something as simple as adjusting the focus on the camera. Educated maintenance is the solution to this problem.

Machine vision is considered by many operators, maintenance personnel, and technicians to be a black art. If there is an apparent problem with the vision system, they simply throw their hands in the air, turn the production machine off, and wait for the "Guru" to arrive to fix it. Many times the corrective action is amazingly simple: a focus adjustment, cycling power, adjusting a setting, replacing a light bulb, etc... Certainly not an issue that is worth losing production over.

The purpose of this course is to empower "first responders" to quickly identify and correct these issues. Knowledge is power in these situations; just a little knowledge can usually overcome the problem and get you back into production. Subjects include:

  • Introduction to Lighting & Optics
  • Initializing a New In-Sight™
  • Saving & Loading Programs and Settings
  • Spreadsheet Basics
  • Introduction to Vision Tools
  • Hands-On Labs (featuring your specific application and parts)

Course costs cover training class hardware and PC rental for each student. Up to 6 students per course.
